The Award Honors Outstanding Achievements in US Structured Finance
Darien, CT (September 15, 2022) – Nuveen Green Capital, a leader in sustainable commercial real estate financing solutions, announced today that it has been awarded the Esoteric ABS Deal of the Year Award by GlobalCapital for its 144A securitization, Greenworks CPACE 2021-1.
The US Securitization Awards are conducted to recognize the most notable and innovative deals of the year. Winners are chosen based on a combination of survey results submitted by industry peers to directly reflect the opinions of the market.
The award recognizes the company’s completion of the largest securitization of C-PACE backed assets in a private offering to qualified institutional buyers, pursuant to Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933. The transaction totaled $173M in asset backed notes collateralized by C-PACE assets, with the senior tranche receiving an AAA rating from DBRS Morningstar. Truist Securities, Inc. served at structuring agent and joint bookrunner, Guggenheim Securities, LLC served as joint bookrunner, and ING Financial Markets LLC served as co-manager. Truist Securities, Guggenheim, and ING served as co-green structuring agents.
