About Shilp Shah

Shilp is an assistant portfolio manager for Nuveen Real Estate’s U.S. Cities Multifamily Strategy.


Prior to transitioning to his current role on the Housing team, Shilp was an assistant portfolio manager overseeing a real estate portfolio of over $7.0 billion. Before joining Nuveen Real Estate in October 2013, Shilp served as an acquisitions officer and asset manager at Cohen Commercial Properties where he focused on acquiring and managing open air retail shopping centers in the southeast. Shilp began his career as an associate broker at Sperry Van Ness with a focus on Hotel transactions across the United States.


Shilp graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Photographic Communications from Rochester Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Real Estate Finance and Investments from New York University.
