Portfolio Manager, U.S. Strategic Alternatives Strategy
Melissa

About Melissa Reagen

As Portfolio Manager, Melissa oversees all of the investment and portfolio allocation decisions for the U.S. Strategic Alternatives Fund. Prior to the portfolio management role, Melissa led a team of research and strategy professionals focused on the U.S. real estate market at Nuveen Real Estate which helped inform all investment decisions. During her time as head of U.S. research at Nuveen Real Estate, she has worked and collaborated closely with the company’s portfolio managers helping them make accurate investment recommendations across their portfolios. The result was a material shift towards the alternative property types across the platform.

Melissa graduated with a B.A. in Economics from The University of Chicago and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Finance, Econometrics and Statistics. She is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) Research Committee which ensures research remains a key focus of the organization and is a member of the PREA Research Affinity Group. She is also an Urban Land Institute (ULI) Member and part of the ULI IOPC Green Council. She has previously served as the Co-Chair of the NCREIF research committee and as well as the ICSC North American research task force, NAREIM, and the National Multifamily Housing Council.
