About Chris Dowdall

Chris is an assistant portfolio manager for Nuveen Real Estate’s the European Cities Strategy. He works on the acquisition and portfolio management of assets for the Strategy, with an additional focus on fund reporting. 

Prior to this, Chris was the finance manager for the European Cities Strategy for over two years, where he provided day-to-day financial management, including the delivery of the quarterly financials as well as assisting the transaction structuring and portfolio management teams in the due diligence, negotiation and implementation of structures for new acquisitions. Having joined Nuveen Real Estate from AXA Real Estate Investment Managers, Chris specialised on U.K. property funds, specifically Limited Partnerships under a Jersey Property Unit structure as well as a segregated mandate, with over 300 properties focusing on portfolio acquisitions, disposals and financial reporting. 

Chris is currently working towards an M.Sc. in Real Estate Investment and Finance at Henley Business School, Reading. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012 and is a full member of the Institute of Charted Accountants in England and Wales.
