Bob Cantey
About Bob Cantey
Bob is a managing director on Nuveen’s private placements team and is responsible for overseeing the origination platform for power and utility investments.
Bob has held various roles at the firm since joining in 2005. Prior to his current role, he was the portfolio manager and led the origination efforts for the project finance portfolio. Bob was a public investment grade analyst from 2005 to 2011 focusing on utilities, oil and gas, telecom, media, and cable investments. He moved into the private placements group in 2011 to help restart the investment effort in investment grade project finance debt origination. Prior to joining the firm, Bob was an investment grade analyst for ING Americas.
Bob graduated with a B.A. from Wofford College and an M.A. in Economics from the University of South Carolina.
