Ibrahiim Bayaan

Director of Research, Real Estate, Americas
Ibrahiim

About Ibrahiim Bayaan

Ibrahiim Bayaan is the Director of Industrial Research at Nuveen Real Estate. He is responsible for monitoring trends within the industrial commercial real estate sector, conducting research on emerging dynamics in the sector, and conveying the implications for industrial real estate performance to the broader organization. His research is used within the broader Nuveen Real Estate Research group to help direct company investment strategy.

Before joining Nuveen in 2022, Ibrahiim began his work in commercial real estate as the Senior Industrial Economist with CBRE Econometric Advisors, where he headed up forecasting and thought leadership within the sector. Prior to that, Ibrahiim spent nearly a decade in the transportation and logistics industry, serving as the Senior Economist with UPS before joining the nascent startup Freightwaves as their Chief Economist. In these roles, Ibrahiim developed deep knowledge of the connections between the macroeconomy, freight patterns, and logistics demand and became a recognized leader in transportation research.

Ibrahiim earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rutgers University before pursuing his doctoral studies in economics at Emory University.
