About John Chandler

John has served as one of the independent directors of the Global Cities REIT since 2018.

John is the founder of Majesteka Investments Holdings, a private firm providing integrated strategic leadership and capital for emerging companies at the intersection of real estate, asset management, and technology. Prior to forming Majesteka in 2017, he was managing director and chairman of BlackRock Inc.’s Global Real Estate business with a focus on the strategic development of the platform as well as investment and client activities. John joined BlackRock in 2011 as global head of real estate with responsibilities for the business and investment performance of the platform.

John graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
