Real estate valuations have reset significantly

  • Global real estate values have reset significantly in most markets, potentially making for a compelling entry-point for investors. In areas that have seen less movement in interest rates or didn’t experience the run-up in pricing, values have been more resilient, reinforcing the benefits of a diverse global portfolio.
  • As of Q3 2024, a little over half of global countries notched value gains and 100% recorded positive total returns for their investors
  • Institutional investors entered 2025 slightly under their target real estate allocations, which could help spur investment into the asset class in 2025
