About Claudio Vescovo

Claudio is a Managing Director and Head of European Energy Transition Credit Funds at Nuveen Infrastructure’s clean energy team.

Claudio has extensive international experience in energy, having lead, structured and invested more than £2.5bn in transactions on both the debt and equity side. As Head of European Energy Transition Credit Funds he has invested in 1,000+ loans, across 8 countries and 4 technologies (solar, wind, bio energy and energy efficiency). Prior to joining Nuveen, Claudio worked at BNP Paribas in their project finance energy divisions, lending to renewable companies in Europe and North Africa. Claudio joined the bank as part of a high potential programme that lead him to working in different departments across several countries (France, Belgium, U.K., the Netherlands). Claudio started his career in KPMG advisory in Milan.

For his academic merits Claudio was awarded a Fellowship from Oxford Said Business School, and is a recurrent lecturer on the energy transition in business schools across Europe. Claudio holds a Masters Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Venice.
