About Caroline Pellmann

Caroline is a senior investment professional in Nuveen Real Estate’s European debt team, with nearly 20 years’ experience in the real estate industry originating and managing debt and equity transactions. She is primarily responsible for sourcing and executing loan transactions in Germany and across continental Europe.

Prior to joining Nuveen in July 2023, Caroline was a director at Berlin Hyp for over six years where she was responsible for the origination, negotiation and execution of senior mortgage-backed loans in Germany and Central Europe, as well as the transaction management from client enquiry to closing. Caroline also worked at Arminius Funds Management as head of origination & business development. Prior to that, she worked at UBS Investment Bank in the real estate and alternative investments team and Credit Suisse Investment Bank on the fixed income side. She started her career in 2004 as a lawyer at Ashurst and Haarmann Hemmelrath & Partner in London.

Caroline is a fully qualified lawyer and studied Law at the University of Bayreuth (Germany), University of Geneva & Graduate Institute of International Studies Geneva (Switzerland) and University of Bonn (Germany), having accomplished the First State Exam and the Second State Exam in German Law at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf.
