About Scott R. Romans
Scott is a portfolio manager at Nuveen, responsible for managing several state-specific, tax-exempt portfolios, including the California Municipal Bond, California High Yield Municipal Bond and the New York Municipal Bond strategies. He also serves as portfolio manager for a number of closed-end funds.
Before moving to his portfolio management role in 2003, he was a senior research analyst in the firm’s tax-exempt fixed income department, specializing in the education sector.
Scott graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S.F. from the Illinois Institute of Technology Stuart School of Business, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
