Claire L. Ross

Claire is Co-head of Global Research for Nuveen’s equities team, with additional responsibilities as a research analyst and portfolio manager. As an analyst, Claire covers the global consumer staples sector. She is also a portfolio manager for the Nuveen Equity Long/Short strategy. Claire joined the firm in 2014 and was named Associate Director of Equity Research in 2019.

Prior to joining Nuveen, she worked at Surveyor Capital, a division of Citadel, responsible for analyzing and investing in consumer staples stocks on both the long and short side. Previously, Claire worked on the proprietary trading desk at Bank of America, where she also specialized in consumer staples. Claire started her career with the Investment Research Group at Goldman Sachs in New York, covering the U.S. machinery industry. After two years, she transferred to Goldman’s London office and focused on European beverage companies.

Claire graduated with a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.B.A from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Finance.
